TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Xin Cheng, a sole trader in Australia ("we," "us," or "our"), the maker of Jellipace. They apply when you download or use Jellipace for Mac, Jellipace for iPhone and iPad, or Jellipace Pro, and when you visit jellipace.com.
The short version. You can try Jellipace for Mac free, then buy it once to keep. Jellipace Pro is an optional subscription that you can cancel at any time. Our reseller Paddle takes the payment. You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of buying Jellipace or of your first Pro payment. Your rights under consumer law always apply.
1. WHAT JELLIPACE IS
Jellipace is a focus pacing app. It notices how you work on your own Mac, stays quiet while you focus, and suggests a break at a natural pause. The iPhone and iPad app is a free companion to the Mac app. How Jellipace handles your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
2. BUYING THROUGH PADDLE
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
When you buy, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms, which cover payment, tax, invoices and refunds. These Terms cover your use of Jellipace itself. We provide support for the app; email support@jellipace.com.
Prices are shown on our buy page and at checkout in your local currency. Paddle adds or includes tax as required where you live.
3. WHAT YOU CAN BUY
Jellipace for Mac
You can try Jellipace for Mac free for 7 days. When the trial ends, Jellipace shows a notification with the options to buy. To keep using it after the trial, buy it once. A one-time purchase has no end date and no further charges.
Jellipace Pro
Jellipace Pro adds Claude's read of your day: Claude checks whether a pause is a good moment for a break and writes a daily insight. Pro is a subscription, paid monthly or yearly.
- Free trial. Pro starts with 7 days free. You give a payment method at checkout. If you cancel before the 7 days end, you are not charged.
- Renewal. After the trial, Pro renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time using the link in Paddle's emails or Paddle's customer portal. Pro keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for, then stops. Jellipace for Mac keeps working if you have it.
- Jellipace included. Your first Pro payment also gives you Jellipace for Mac to keep, even if you later cancel Pro.
Jellipace for iPhone and iPad
The iPhone and iPad app is free and comes from Apple's App Store. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to it.
4. YOUR LICENCE
When you buy Jellipace or subscribe to Pro, we give you a personal licence to use it on all the Macs you use yourself. The licence is for you, not for other people.
You may not share, sell or transfer your licence or purchase number, try to get around the licence check, or copy, modify or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
After you buy, Jellipace for Mac sends your purchase number once to our licence service, which returns a signed licence (see the Privacy Policy). On a new Mac, you can paste the purchase number from Paddle's receipt into Jellipace's Settings.
If you are refunded, the licence that payment paid for is no longer valid (see our Refund Policy).
5. PRO AND CLAUDE
Pro sends parts of your day to Anthropic's Claude through our relay, as described in the Privacy Policy, and only after you turn it on.
Claude's answers can be wrong or incomplete. Jellipace's break suggestions, insights and summaries are suggestions only. They are not medical, health or professional advice. You decide when to work and when to rest.
To keep Pro running for everyone, it has usage limits, including a daily limit. Jellipace shows how much of the daily limit you have used, as a percentage. If you reach a limit, Pro features pause until it resets, and the rest of Jellipace keeps working.
6. CHANGES TO PRICES AND TO JELLIPACE
We may change prices. We will tell you about a new Pro price by email through Paddle at least 30 days before it applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it does. Price changes never affect a one-time purchase you have already made.
We update Jellipace from time to time. Jellipace for Mac needs macOS 15 or later, and the iPhone and iPad app needs iOS or iPadOS 18 or later.
7. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER CONSUMER LAW
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, given to you by law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the law where you live gives you more rights than these Terms, those rights apply.
8. LIMITS ON OUR LIABILITY
Subject to Section 7, Jellipace is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or work; and
- our total liability to you for any claim about Jellipace is limited to the amount you paid for Jellipace in the 12 months before the claim.
9. ENDING THESE TERMS
You can stop using Jellipace at any time. We may end your licence if you seriously break these Terms, for example by selling or sharing your licence. If we do, Section 7 still applies.
10. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction. This does not take away protections you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Changes do not apply to a payment you have already made.
